First group pick takes place after lockdown.

The change in the lockdown restrictions allowed for a group litter pick on Saturday 3rd April, with a group of six pickers.

The group collected 8 bags of litter (including 1 of recycling) plus several large pieces of plastic and mesh. The oldest item found was an old Safeway carrier bag buried deep in the undergrowth (Safeway supermarket became Morrisons in 2005!)

Bizarre finds were a pair of underpants and a jar of homemade pickled shallots! Several shopping trolleys were found and have been reported as being dumped. Sadly there’s a problem with the disposable gloves from the garage as lots of these were found.

KBB are looking forward to holding more group picks soon.
